Guidelines for enrollment of Academic Counsellors
- 1: An Academic Counsellor for conducting Academic Counselling sessions (For
SOL Students) shall possess qualification as per the UGC/DU minimum qualification standards
for the post of Assistant Professor.
- 2:Recognised as Academic Counsellor may also act as research supervisor for
guiding UG 4th Year Honours Students.
- 3: Academic Counsellor enrolled for conducting Academic Counselling
sessions will be renumerated as per UGC/DU norms for the Guest Faculty.
- 4: Academic Counsellors having NET + Ph.D and Teaching experience will be
given preference.
- 5: Academic Counsellor shall be responsible for taking the allotted classes
as assigned by DDCE/SOL.
- 6: The Counsellor has to ensure that no class is missed without
pre-approved leave from DDCE/SOL.
- 7: Academic Counsellors are informed that the allotted PCP class can be
recorded, streamed on social media like YouTube Channels of DDCE/SOL or on any other media
as decided by the DDCE/SOL Authority. Each recorded lecture/session of any academic
counsellor will be the copyright of DDCE/SOL.
- 8: The Academic Counsellor must complete the assigned curriculum in the
form of academic counselling session within the assigned classes.
- 9: All Academic Counsellors must submit a list of at-least 150 multiple
choice questions from their respective course/curriculum taught for the purpose of
assessment, which must be kept confidential and must not be shared with the students.
- 10: All Academic Counselling sessions are subject to evaluation through
processes like student feedback and review from experts, etc.
- 11: All interested Academic Counsellor must compulsorily attend the
workshop/training session organized by DDCE/SOL for the quality enhancement of Academic
Counselling sessions.
- 12: Academic Counsellors can also be given the opportunity to supervise
research, academic projects & entrepreneurship specifically for 4th-year students.
- 13: The projects submitted by the Academic Counsellors will undergo
external evaluation by subject experts. Students will be assigned selected projects based on
their interests and relevance to the proposed research area.
