Guidelines for enrollment of Academic Counsellors for PCP Sessions
- 1: An Academic Counsellor conducting academic counselling sessions for SOL students shall possess the minimum qualifications prescribed by UGC/DU for the post of Assistant Professor.
- 2: The Academic Counsellor shall also act as research supervisor
for
guiding UG 4th Year Honours Students.
- 3: Academic Counsellor enrolled for conducting Academic Counselling
sessions shall be remunerated as per UGC/DU norms for the Guest Faculty.
- 4: Preference shall be given to Academic Counsellors possessing NET, Ph.D., and relevant teaching experience.
- 5: Academic Counsellor shall be responsible for taking the allotted classes
as assigned by DDCE/SOL.
- 6: The Academic Counsellor is required to ensure uninterrupted attendance in all the assigned classes, and any absence shall be subject to prior approval of leave from DDCE/SOL.
- 7: Academic Counsellor(s) are hereby informed that the allotted PCP classes shall be
recorded, streamed on social media platform(s) like YouTube Channels of DDCE/SOL or on any other social media platform(s)
as decided by the competent Authority of DDCE/SOL, from time to time. All recorded lectures, presentations, and academic sessions delivered by the Counsellor shall be deemed the intellectual property of DDCE/SOL, which shall retain exclusive copyright therein.
- 8: Academic Counsellors must complete the assigned curriculum within the allotted academic counselling sessions.
- 9: Each Academic Counsellor shall be required to submit at least 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) pertaining to the course/curriculum assigned to them for assessment purposes. The submitted questions shall remain confidential and must not be shared with students under any circumstances.
- 10: All Academic Counselling sessions are subject to evaluation through
processes like student feedback and review from experts, etc.
- 11: All the Academic Counsellor(s) must compulsorily attend the
workshop/training session(s), organized from time to time by DDCE/SOL, for qualitative enhancement of Academic
Counselling sessions.
- 12: Academic Counsellors faculty may also be given the opportunity to
supervise research,
academic projects & entrepreneurship specifically for 4th-year students.
- 13: The proposals for project(s) submitted by Academic Counsellor(s) shall be assessed by external subject specialists. Following such assessment, selected project(s) shall be assigned to students in accordance with their academic interests and the proposed area of research.
